Volunteers Needed for Curriculum Development ...
SeniorNet’s Curriculum Development Department is looking for volunteers who would like to join us in developing new curriculum for our SeniorNet Learning Centers.
Our aim is to meet the needs of both our current student membership, incoming ‘boomers’, as well as the challenges of our ever changing technology scene. We are looking for people who understand those needs and would like to share their knowledge with all our SeniorNet Learning Centers.
Be it a single product or several, your knowledge is more important than your writing skills.

Tara Maxwell Exemplifies Center Leadership
She has been recognized by federal, state and local government officials for her dedication in support of seniors. She goes above and beyond to help, guide, and support seniors as they engage computer technology.
One of the things that we appreciate about Tara – is that she always reaches out to support SeniorNet nationally. Starting with ensuring that her center was represented on Capitol Hill last year at our 25th Anniversary Celebration – to her recent willingness to pilot new products.
Tara we salute you for all you do ...

Keeping Seniors Safe...
Did you know that older adults and seniors are disproportionately targeted by scam artists? Whether it’s a phone call, an email, an ad, a fax, or a text message, con artists today utilize all of the outlets the 21st century offers to perpetrate fraud against us. And, con artists count on older adults to be uninformed or naïve, making for an easy target. Don’t give them the satisfaction of being right.

2. The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day") provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to create practical acts of peace on a shared date. It was established by a United Nations resolution in 1981 to coincide with the opening of the General Assembly. The first Peace Day was celebrated in September 1982. In 2002 the General Assembly officially declared September 21 as the permanent date for the International Day of Peace.
